Maintaining Your Vegetable Garden Workshop April 12
(April 4, 2014 – Orlando, FL) – Learn how to maintain a vegetable garden to its fullest potential on Saturday April 12, 2014, from 9-11 a.m. at the Our Whole Community Garden, located behind to the Gardens at DePugh Nursing Center, located at 550 W. This is the fourth in a year long series of gardening workshops sponsored by Our Whole Community (OWC). The suggested donation is $10 per family, free for OWC gardeners.
Gardeners will be taught to prune and train the abundant growth of their gardens, and learn to identify good bugs and control garden pests organically. The workshop will also include a food preparation demonstration on pickling.
The next event, dubbed Spring Fiesta, will be held May 4, 2014, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at St. Mary Magdalen Learning Garden, 869 Maitland Ave., in Altamonte Springs.
