It’s hard to believe that we are more than halfway through March! That means that the Adult Literacy League’s Reading Between the Wines (RBTW) fundraising event and the Orlando Myasthenia Gravis Walk take place next month. With that said, it has been an extremely productive few weeks.
I continued doing research on media outlets in surrounding Florida markets that we will contact to promote the Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Walks, followed up with potential volunteers for the Orlando MG Walk and RBTW, updated featured events on the Trusted Source homepage, updated Our Whole Community’s online calendar, and updated our RBTW promo plan.
I added the MG Walks and Femfessionals March event to community calendars which took much longer than anticipated, but is definitely a good tool to promote our events. Additionally, Leah assigned me several media outlets to contact regarding RBTW so I was in contact with those outlets this week. I emailed each outlet a press release for RBTW and getting in contact with them has been an enjoyable process.
Last week, Leah and I attended Downtown South’s Business for Breakfast event. A lecture was delivered by Score on “Financial Tools to Manage & Grow Your Business.” While I am not an entrepreneur, the lecture was insightful and exposed me to useful tools and tips for managing business plans. I am looking forward to attending their next Business for Breakfast lecture.
Until next time,
