Happy February readers!
It’s been a productive two weeks preparing for Our Whole Community’s Healthy Living Expo this Saturday, attending a variety of events/meetings and getting started on new projects.
I attended the City of Orlando Employee Health Expo at the Amway Center where Molly, Leah and I represented OWC by promoting our upcoming expo, selling grow boxes, providing attendees with planting calendars and networking with professionals in health-related industries. The structure and schedule of the City of Orlando Employee Health Expo was similar to that of our upcoming OWC expo so I can’t wait to see how our event turns out! Following the excitement at the Amway, Leah and I attended the ECO-Nomic Living Expo at the Orange County/University of Florida Extension Education Center. The event was a success and once again, I had an awesome time promoting OWC.
The two expos put a solid end to January. I spent a plethora of time working on little projects—from updating the OWC/Trusted Source events calendars to sitting in on a webinar about the Central Florida Foundation to adding an upcoming Femfessionals event to the Orlando media’s community calendars. I FINALLY got around to uploading Trusted Source’s media clippings to the website so feel free to take a look at those and leave comments! Additionally, I channeled my inner graphic designer and attempted to work on a flyer for an upcoming event with Downtown South and for the OWC Healthy Living Expo’s program. Once those are complete, I’ll be sure to post them on my blog so you can check out my masterpieces.
I began February by attending a Get Active Orlando (GAO) 10 year anniversary event at Leu Gardens. Orlando finally got a break from the dreary winter weather we had been experiencing, so it was a lovely day to enjoy the gardens and learn about the monumental accomplishments that GAO has accomplished in the past decade. Aside from that, February has been filled with a lot of OWC Healthy Living Expo planning. I strolled around downtown Orlando and University of Central Florida and posted flyers promoting the expo to community bulletin boards and I’ve continually updated our confirmed vendor spreadsheet. It’s certainly been a busy few weeks, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Trusted Source.
Before I forget—Leah graciously treated me to a headshot photo session (see new headshot below)! Our plan is to get headshots of Molly, Leah and me together in March so be on the lookout for those. Headshot provided by MacBeth Photography.
Until next time,
