Don’t Miss 2nd Annual Healthy Living Expo This Saturday
(February 12, 2014 – Orlando, FL) – Our Whole Community’s (OWC) second annual Healthy Living Expo, offering free health assessments, healthy eating and garden demonstrations, speakers on Mind, Body and Spirit and healthy living vendors will be held this Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Winter Park Community Center.
The event is free to the public.
Held in partnership with the City of Winter Park and the University of Central Florida College of Nursing, health assessments will include blood pressure and vision screenings, as well as healthy eating tips for all ages.
This year, three speakers will address the mind, body and spirit. Eric Wettstein, who has more than 25 years of experience in the Health and Wellness Field, will address the most common mental issues with the mind, and the human need and desire for a calm/peaceful mind. Eddie Needham, M.D., will talk on the belief that we are encouraged from the word of God to present our bodies as living sacrifices. Deacon and OWC Board Chair Lavon Williams will discuss the spirit as it relates to wellness.
Last year, more than 200 people took advantage of the opportunities at the Healthy Living Expo.
“Our goal is to create a healthy living experience that will be beneficial to everyone, and this year’s event looks to be even stronger in that respect,” says Williams.
