I hope you all had a lovely MLK Jr. Day and a relaxing three-day weekend.
In terms of my internship progress, this week was certainly a busy one. I started my week by attending Downtown South’s monthly Coffee Club event at OLV Café. Downtown South is one of Trusted Source’s partners (Leah sits on the Board of Directors) that focuses on making a difference in the quality of life for all businesses and residents in Orlando’s Downtown South area. The Coffee Club was an event that allowed businesses in the area to network and discuss future Downtown South projects. I enjoyed the event and encourage anyone who may be interested to attend the next Coffee Club in February!
I focused on a variety of projects this week. I updated the Featured Events on the Trusted Source webpage, worked on copyrighting and media tracking, uploaded Our Whole Community’s upcoming events to various community calendars, updated the Our Whole Community monthly events flyer and worked on several on-going projects for Trusted Source. Additionally, I updated Trusted Source’s “Who” page with information about Leah’s previous interns and Advisory Board. Getting in contact with Leah’s previous interns as well as reading about their professional lives on LinkedIn was probably what I enjoyed most about this week. It was great seeing their successes and hearing about their positive experiences with Trusted Source!
Tomorrow will be a day full of OWC meetings with Leah and will get to meet my fellow Spring 2014 Intern: Molly.
Until next week,
