Happy January Readers!
First off, I would like to introduce myself. I am Tasi Hogan and I am one of Leah’s spring 2014 interns. I’m currently pursuing my M.A. in Mass Communication at the University of Central Florida and am eager to apply my skills learned in the academic world to Trusted Source. I am inspired by Leah’s commitment to holistic marketing and work that benefits Orlando and our surrounding cities. Thus, I am thrilled to be working with Leah this semester. I hope to expand my skill-set by developing my organizational skills, improving my writing, learning more about non-profits and working in conjunction with Leah’s goals to increase Trusted Source exposure.
This past week, Leah introduced me to some of the organizations she works with and gave me brief tutorials on updating websites, managing event calendars and more. I focused primarily on updating event calendars for Our Whole Community (OWC) and Trusted Source. Additionally, I worked on website maintenance for OWC and Trusted Source, started a working document of contacts for an upcoming expo and got in contact with previous interns so that we can feature them on our organization’s “Who” page.
There’s no doubt that Leah has some exciting projects going on and I look forward to what next week has in store!
