Downtown South to Choose Signature Cocktail
ORLANDO, Fla. (September 18, 2013) – Barkeeps and amateur mixologists will find out on September 19, 2013, if their original concoction will be hereby anointed as the “Signature Cocktail of Downtown South” by members of Downtown South.
The event will be held at Doc’s Streetside Grille, 1315 S Orange Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. It is free to members; $25 at the door for new members.
Five finalists from the contest’s entries will be sampled by business and residential members, who will then vote on the drink that will be knighted as the “Signature Cocktail of Downtown South.” All recipes had to include citrus, a nod to the area’s history with the citrus industry.
During the meeting, the organization will also announce its 2013 Downtown South Outstanding Volunteers.
